Designed to be completed by small groups of KS3 and/or KS4 learners, the 13 Codebreaking Challenges in this book provide an alternative setting in which to practise essential skills. In each case the alphabet has been encoded. Clues, that often rely upon each other, must be solved to identify the code, then the message decoded and its instructions followed. Teamwork, strategy, careful workings and some language skills are all called into play, so each challenge is great for an end of unit review to engage and motivate.
