Nick Lord, passed away after a short illness on 1st March 2024, was both a fine mathematician and a first-rate teacher.
Nick was active in the Mathematical Association, spending six years on Council. His work as the Editor of Problem Corner for The Mathematical Gazette was particularly distinguished. He filled this role for 20 years, during which he supervised the selection of some 250 tantalising challenges ranging from combinatorics to conics and probability to packing.
He was also a precocious author of articles for the journal, and this book celebrates his achievement in this respect.
